Constructed from layers of cut photographs and magazine clippings, “Reconstruction of HER” pieces together a complex portrait of womanhood—evoking memory, strength, sensuality, and resilience. The juxtaposition of soft textures with bold facial expressions challenges viewers to consider how beauty, culture, and personal history converge. Inspired by the rhythms of music and the storytelling power of the Black and Brown experience, this work invites you to look closely and find harmony in dissonance.
